Future Proof Advisors CEO and co founder Terry Dry took the stage at CES 2026 in January for the session “AgeTech Innovation: Connecting Capital, Design & Impact,” powered by Verizon.
Hosted on the Accessibility Stage at the Venetian Expo, the panel brought together leaders focused on how emerging technologies can serve the fast growing longevity market and create real business opportunity at the same time.
Terry joined Regina Kline of Enable Ventures and Sally Lange Witkowski of Slang Consulting for a conversation that connected three critical pieces:
- Where capital is flowing
- How design choices shape accessibility
- What it actually takes to turn innovation into real world impact
From promising technology to real adoption
Speaking from his dual vantage point at Future Proof Advisors and The Smarter Service, a tech concierge provider and Future Proof Advisors member company, Terry focused on an often overlooked reality: technology only works if people can and will use it.

The panel explored how tools powered by 5G and AI are starting to solve real challenges for aging populations, from safety and independence to connection and access. Terry brought in on the ground insights from The Smarter Service on what actually drives adoption:
- Hands on, human support
- Clear, relevant use cases
- Comfort, confidence, and trust
- Meeting people where they are with how they prefer to learn
Without that support layer, even the smartest product risks becoming “innovation theater” instead of meaningful change.
Why this matters for future focused leaders
For Future Proof Advisors, conversations like this are not just about AgeTech. They are about how emerging technology, demographic shifts, and capital flows come together to reshape markets.
The longevity economy represents a large and growing opportunity. Companies that design with accessibility in mind, understand real user behavior, and pair smart products with the right support systems will have an advantage. That is as true in AgeTech as it is in many of the sectors where our member companies operate.
At FPA, we work with founders and leadership teams to think beyond the next quarter and build strategies that are both future ready and grounded in reality. Events like CES give us a front row seat to where innovation is heading and how our clients can position themselves to benefit.
